FAQs

How can I order a custom doormat?
You can order a custom doormat by purchasing a custom doormat listing and providing your custom notes in the “Special Instructions to Seller” section upon checkout. If you have a font style in mind – please include this in the notes.

If you have a picture you’d like to provide for reference, please send it to us at luxelumber@gmail.com and reference your order number.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer proofs prior to purchase due to our current order volume.

If you require multiple revisions to your proof, this could potentially extend the processing time of your order.

I have just received my doormat and love it. How do I care for my mat?
Make sure you keep your lovely, new, hand painted doormat in a dry, sheltered area – out of the direct elements such as sun, rain, snow, etc. We recommend placing the mat under a covered porch or balcony or even indoors to prolong the life of your mat. Do not saturate the mat as it is made of coconut coir.

If you have lots of cool friends over or have the Amazon driver at your door on a daily basis – your mat will eventually show signs of wear.

To clean the mat, shake it out gently to remove the built up dirt.

What size doormats do you offer?
We currently offer two sizes of doormats; 16” x 24” and 24” x 35” - both mats are approx. 1” thick and have a PVC backing to prevent slipping and sliding.

Our 16” x 24” doormats pair nicely with an undermat.

We offer 4 different colours of buffalo plaid undermats which are 24” x 35” and come in black, blue, red, and grey.

Do you offer gift notes?
Yes, please provide a note at check out if you require a gift note with your order along with what you'd like the gift message to be. We do not offer gift wrapping at this time.

Note:
All mats are different and unique. Some may be darker or lighter than the photo or have variances of colour in the mat. Since coir is made from the husks of coconuts, some fibers might be thicker or thinner than others. There may also be chunks of the husks in the fibers.
